INKSAP is a first generation child of refugees from Vietnam.

Raised in Los Angeles, California, the artist uses his craft to explore the complexities of his parents’ journeys to the United States.  Drawings of family coming together, ancestral traditions, and language are the continual study of INKSAP: finding a new life in a new world.

His body of works can be found in the streets with layers of repetition, organic movement, and folding that breaks away from the conventional approaches to environmental initiatives. To achieve this he collects his street works to create ARTIFACTS.

In addition to artifacts, the artist re purposes found materials into products to give the community URBAN TOOLS to clean up their city.

“This journey is to understand heritage and the connection to leaving this world better than it was.” -INKSAP
